The Metro Lamp is a perfect example of ASAP Design’s unique ability to take today’s technology and transform it into an innovative, high quality consumer product.

The project objective was to package the complex, miniaturized electronic metal halide controls, metal halide bulb, special HID socket and switches into a self contained module designed for OEM or retrofit installation into virtually any residential portable lighting fixture without adversely affecting the distribution of light or the aesthetics of the fixture.

The Microsun system provides the light output of a 300 watt halogen incandescent while using only 25% of the energy required by the halogen bulb.  The life of the MH bulb is up to 10,000 hours and the spectrum of the light is unparalleled for reading and other tasks requiring the ability to see in fine detail.

ASAP Design harnessed the power of the Microsun Technologies metal halide light source and blended it with a patented electronic power control module, consumer friendly controls and a pleasant aesthetic presentation to create the brightest, highest quality light source available to the consumer.
